Since 2016, BWT has collaborated on an international harlequin duck research project studying migration and connectivity between inland breeding streams and coastal wintering sites.

Since the company's incorporation in 1991, Bighorn Wildlife Technologies has been instrumental in organizing bighorn sheep transplants from west-central Alberta to western US states such as South Dakota, Nevada and Nebraska.
